Acorn Grant

Our Grant Fund has now closed until further notice. Hopefully we shall re open it later in the year. Loans are still available.

What is it?
One off business grants for viable job creating projects.

Who can apply?
Any business meeting the scheme’s criteria.

Is my project eligible?
Your business must be based in Hull and projects must be realistic and viable. Grants cannot be used for past debts.

How much?
Maximum grants from January 2008 will be £2000, although exceptions can be considered. Other grants may be available depending on the nature of the business and project.

What for?
Grants are for capital based projects only. Support towards the cost of vehicles is not eligible.

How do I apply?
Click here to download the application form in pdf format. Alternatively you can phone/email the Fund Manager. These are also available through our local partners at Businesslink, Business Interactions, Hull Area Business Advice Centre, Princes Trust, Deep Alliance and Sirius.

What happens next?
Your application will be evaluated by the Fund Manager. Applications for up to £2,500 will be dealt with within 2 weeks whilst those for higher amounts will be submitted to a Panel for a final decision in which case turnaround may be up to 6 weeks.
